For Shoubert Baghramian, the Turtleback trailer is all about leveling up his mountain biking experience. He originally purchased the trailer to be able to access a wider range of remote biking routes. Since then, he, his wife, and their two dogs have ventured together from their home in the LA area to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer.
There’s a long list of reasons why Shoubert decided on Turtleback as his trailer of choice. But first, with his love of finding remote spots to camp, the 42-gallon water tank was a rare find. “Normally, even a big RV doesn’t have anything comparable,” he said. Other perks that stood out to Shoubert were the kitchen in the rear of the trailer, the quality water heater, and other “little luxuries” that allowed for extended trips to remain enjoyable and comfortable.
But overall, Shoubert commented on the ease of setup and cleanup. “The setup and cleanup is just a breeze,” he said. When camping with others, he often notes the extra time spent folding tables and doing the heavy lifting of re-packing while he’s ready to ride.
Additionally, the weight and size allow for maneuverability on any route. Shoubert has taken advantage of the customization opportunities for his Turtleback as well. With a locked bike rack add-on, he can enjoy the trails, come back to camp, and lock the bike safely while still accessing all doors and compartments. The ability to choose his own tent or cargo features was a big draw too. Shoubert preferred to focus on tent camping, noticing it kept him outdoors more–which is always the point of him getting out.
If you’re considering a Turtleback Trailer, Shoubert’s best reason to go for it is the setup and cleanup. “Coming home, you just park, empty the fridge, and you’re done,” he remarked. The mobility and the little luxuries will only persuade you more.
